Post-Surgical Recovery Patients

Orthopaedic, spine, and general-surgery rehab - we read your operative note, we call your surgeon if we need to, and we progress you by criteria not calendar.

Post-Surgery Recovery Physiotherapy in Johor

Post-surgical rehab is where the risk of a generic plan is highest.

A great operation with poorly-staged rehab ends up with a stiff joint, a re-tear, or both.

A modest operation with carefully-staged rehab often exceeds expectations.

Our post-op caseload spans orthopaedic (ACL, knee and hip replacement, rotator cuff, fracture fixation, spine), general surgery (post-abdominal, chest), and some neurosurgical referrals.

What we actually do differently

  • Read the operative note before the first session, or call the surgeon's clinic if it's not available.
  • Confirm specific precautions (range limits, weight-bearing status, sling requirements) and write them at the top of your chart.
  • Progress by criteria, not calendar. "Week 6 of protocol" means nothing if the tissue isn't there yet; it means too much if the tissue is already past it.
  • Flag complications early. DVT, infection, re-rupture signs, loss of range - these need the surgeon, not more rehab.
  • Coordinate home visit coverage for the first 1–2 weeks where clinic attendance is difficult.

Typical surgeries we rehab

Post-ACL surgery, post-knee replacement, post-hip replacement, post-rotator cuff repair, post-spine surgery, post-fracture rehab.

Cost and Johor context

RM120-250 per session. We work with surgeons at Gleneagles Medini, Regency Specialist, KPJ Johor Specialist, KPJ Puteri, Columbia Asia Iskandar, Mahkota Medical, and HSA Sultanah Aminah. A meaningful portion of our post-op caseload is Singaporean patients who had surgery in Singapore and prefer to rehab in JB.
