Home-Visit Physiotherapy in Johor
Home-visit physiotherapy brings the whole session to your living room.
It is not just a convenience - it is clinically the right choice in specific situations where going to a clinic is unsafe, energy-draining, or impossible without significant family logistics.
When home-visit is the clear best option
- First 6–12 weeks post-hip or knee replacement. Before the patient can transfer safely to a car and clinic.
- Post-stroke early rehab. When transfers are unsafe, and family support is needed on-site.
- Elderly fall-prevention / balance rehab. Assessment and training in the patient's actual home environment is more effective than in a clinic gym.
- Post-surgical spine cases. When sitting tolerance is low in the first weeks.
- Complex multi-fracture cases. When clinic travel aggravates pain and fatigue.
- Palliative or long-term neurodegenerative (Parkinson's late-stage, dementia-related mobility). The home is the functional environment.
How it works
A physio arrives with a portable kit - resistance bands, measurement tools, paper tests for balance, sometimes a pulse oximeter.
The session covers assessment, targeted manual and exercise work, family coaching on safe transfers and daily practice, and a plan for the next visit.
Duration: 45–75 minutes depending on case complexity.
Coverage across Johor
Routine coverage: JB city, Johor Jaya, Permas Jaya, Taman Molek, Mount Austin, Austin Heights, Skudai, Taman Universiti, Taman Sri Pulai, Tampoi, Iskandar Puteri, Medini, Bukit Indah, Horizon Hills, Pasir Gudang, Bandar Seri Alam, Ulu Tiram, Kulai, Senai, Kelapa Sawit.
Case-by-case in Kluang, Batu Pahat, Muar, Kota Tinggi, Pontian - we arrange when we can.
Pricing
RM120-250 per visit, depending on distance and session duration. That's typically RM120-250 more than a clinic visit.
For elderly or post-op cases, the savings in family time, transport logistics, and patient fatigue often outweigh the premium.
What to have ready before the first home visit
- A clear space (about 3m × 3m) for movement.
- A firm chair or the bed side the patient commonly uses.
- Any discharge notes, medications, assistive devices (walker, cane, wheelchair).
- A responsible family member available for the first session.
Where home-visit is not the right fit
- If you are mobile and the clinic has equipment you benefit from (leg press, cable column, treadmill), the clinic is better.
- If the issue is highly specific to machine-based strength training.
- If you live too far for a physio to reach within a reasonable time frame (we'll tell you on WhatsApp).
