SOCSO physio in Johor - what patients usually want to know
SOCSO (PERKESO) covers physiotherapy under the Employment Injury Scheme for eligible Malaysian workers.
This page is a plain orientation, not a claims guide - the people who actually file SOCSO claims are your employer's HR and the SOCSO panel doctor, and PERKESO's website is the authoritative source.
The general flow
A worker who has been injured at work typically goes through: reporting to their employer, being seen by a SOCSO panel doctor, and - if rehab is indicated - being referred to a SOCSO panel physiotherapist for treatment, then a return-to-work clearance.
Forms, timelines and the panel list are set by PERKESO and change periodically.
What this means for choosing a physio
If you want SOCSO to cover the cost, you must use a current SOCSO-panel physiotherapist via the official referral.
Going off-panel means self-paying.
The official panel list is on the PERKESO website - always cross-check with your employer's HR or the panel doctor before assuming a specific clinic is currently in-panel.
Where PhysioJohor fits
PhysioJohor is a home-visit physiotherapy matching service.
We are not a SOCSO routing service, do not file claims, and do not issue medical reports.
Where we sometimes help alongside SOCSO is when patients self-pay for supplementary home-visit physio because the panel-allocated session count is too low for a chronic or post-surgical case, or because the assigned panel clinic is too far for sustainable weekly visits.
That is paid privately, separate from any SOCSO claim.
How to start
WhatsApp us if you want home-visit physio in parallel with your SOCSO pathway.
For the SOCSO claim itself, your employer's HR and the SOCSO panel doctor are the right people.
