Physiotherapy for Office Workers in Johor
Office-work musculoskeletal injuries are the most treatable type we see - and the most preventable.
Everyone who works at a desk 8+ hours a day accumulates small loads in the wrong places: neck muscles holding the head forward, upper traps holding the shoulders up, lower back flexed into the chair, wrists extended over the keyboard.
After months of it, something gives - usually in one of four classic patterns.
The four desk-job injury patterns
Neck pain - forward head posture, deep neck flexor weakness, upper trap overwork. 4–6 sessions. Low back pain - prolonged sitting, hip flexor shortening, glute deconditioning. 4–8 sessions. Upper trap / shoulder tightness - mouse use, elevated shoulders, poor thoracic mobility. 4–6 sessions. Forearm / elbow / carpal tunnel - repetitive typing and mousing. 6–10 sessions plus night splinting.
What physio actually does
Hands-on release of the overworked tissue + targeted strengthening of what's weak + ergonomic assessment + a specific desk-compatible home programme you can do in 10 minutes a day.
Session logistics for working patients
We prioritise physios with late-afternoon and evening slots (most run 6–8 pm), often located close to the main Johor office hubs: Iskandar Puteri / Medini, Mid Valley Southkey-adjacent, Tampoi, JB city centre, and Mount Austin tech corridor.
Saturday morning slots are also common.
Cost
RM120-250 per session. Full course usually RM120-250. Many Malaysian private insurance plans cover this with a doctor's referral.
