Part-time clinic physiotherapist, Johor Bahru

Fixed weekly sessions at a partner clinic — structured, supervised, steady hours.

RM40–70 per hour

Not every physiotherapist wants the open-ended nature of freelancing. Our part-time clinic route places you in regular sessional slots at a partner clinic in the Johor Bahru area, seeing patients booked in advance rather than travelling between homes. You commit to set sessions each week — for example two evenings and a Saturday morning — and you know your hours and income before the week begins.

This is the most structured way to work with PhysioJohor. You treat in a fixed room with clinic equipment on hand, alongside other clinicians, which makes it a good fit for physios who are earlier in their career or returning to practice and want colleagues nearby. Cases are booked and screened before you see them, so your session time is spent treating, not chasing logistics.

Because sessions are fixed, reliability matters more than raw caseload here. We ask you to hold the slots you agree to, keep to appointment times, and hand over clearly. In return you get predictable, part-time hours that fit around study, family or another job — without giving up clinical variety.

What the work involves

  • See pre-booked outpatients in fixed clinic sessions — musculoskeletal, sports, post-surgical and general rehab.
  • Run assessments and deliver hands-on treatment and exercise prescription using clinic equipment.
  • Keep to appointment times and maintain clear clinical records for continuity between sessions.
  • Coordinate with the clinic team and our physio coordinator on follow-ups and home-visit referrals where a patient would benefit.

Who this suits

  • Physios wanting predictable part-time hours and a fixed base rather than travel.
  • Early-career physios or returners who value colleagues and equipment on site.
  • Anyone balancing study, family or another role who needs a reliable schedule.

Who this is not for

  • Physios who specifically want home-visit or fully flexible work (see the freelance or mobile routes).
  • Anyone unable to commit to the same weekly sessions consistently.
  • Non-registered practitioners.

Areas you can cover

  • Partner clinics in Johor Bahru city, Iskandar Puteri, Skudai and Tebrau (assigned by location and demand)

Questions physiotherapists ask

How many sessions do I have to commit to?

You choose, but the sessions you agree to are fixed — for example two or three set slots a week. Consistency on those slots matters more than the total number.

Is the part-time clinic route good for a fresh graduate?

Yes. You work in a fixed clinic with equipment and colleagues on hand and pre-screened cases, which is a more supervised start than solo home visits.

How is sessional clinic work paid?

Indicatively RM40–70 per hour of clinic time, agreed before you start. It is paid per session or hour worked, not a fixed monthly salary.

Can I move to home visits later?

Yes. Many physios start with clinic sessions and add freelance home visits once they are confident working independently.
